San Francisco Opera’s 91st season opens on Friday, September 6 with Boito’s Mefistofele, conducted by Music Director Nicola Luisotti and featuring an illustrious cast that includes Ildar Abdrazakov, Patricia Racette and Ramón Vargas. A highlight of the City’s cultural and philanthropic season, the Opening Night Gala festivities include Opera Ball 2013, presented in collaboration with the San Francisco Opera Guild and benefiting San Francisco Opera and the Opera Guild’s education and community programs, and BRAVO! CLUB’s Opening Night Gala, geared toward young professionals.
