In the inaugural event of Live Context: Art + Ideas, the Stanford Arts Institute in partnership with Stanford Live and Music at Stanford will explore the life and times of composer Joseph Haydn and the shifting role of patronage during the Enlightenment. This campus-wide project includes a two-day conference featuring recitals, performances, and talks by international scholars. Three illuminating performances of Haydn’s works will take place on February 13, 14, and 15.
