Chrome racks holding the J. Mendel resort 2015 collection reflected the bright cloudless skies as Fredston and Stephanie Booth Shafran hosted the afternoon shopping benefit for Children’s Institute, Inc. “The hourglass silhouettes in the collection are incredibly flattering,” Fredston added. “They make for the perfect cocktail dress.” Fredston also noted that resort collections are ideal for Californians and especially for those based in Los Angeles. But she also confessed that she plans to wear looks from the line abroad as well. “I have my eye on a fabulous gown for New Year’s Eve in St. Barths!
