Designer Gilles Mendel of J. Mendel traveled to California for a luncheon hosted by Rochelle Gores Fredston and Stephanie Booth Shafran at the Gores Group rooftop terrace in Beverly Hills on Friday, November 14. The fashionable afternoon gathering drew Los Angeles’ style set including Rene Russo, Claiborne Swanson Frank, Jane Ross, and Susan Casden who all got a first look at the J. Mendel resort 2015 collection. Proceeds from the event benefited Children’s Institute, Inc., a nonprofit that provides services to children and families in L.A.’s most challenged neighborhoods who have experienced trauma or violence.
