Scene and Heard: Juliet de Baubigny

“From my experience in the tech community, I understand the power technology has to change lives. Every day we are seeing new developments that help to make life easier, more convenient and more exciting. It’s important that we harness the power of these innovations to also do good in the world,” said Juliet de Baubigny, chair of the Chimehack2 host committee, at the kickoff of a three-day hackathon held at Twitter headquarters in San Francisco and sponsored by Gucci‘s Chime for Change. The focus of the event was to conceptualize, plan and develop technical solutions for women’s health issues as well as women’s safety and social equality. De Baubigny, a Senior Partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers, noted that the event provided a platform for individuals to test their skills, but she said she hoped they would also use the gathering to learn more about global challenges and be inspired to work toward creating “truly useful solutions.”
