In honor of All Fools Day and the release of his new sultry scented candle, interior designer Ken Fulk hosted friends at his San Francisco gallery Peep Show on Monday, April 1. That morning, the designer and collector released a statement that he had offered an incredibly well-preserved saber-toothed tiger he named Tatiana to Stewart Brand’s Revive and Restore project, part of The Long Now Foundation and the University of California Santa Cruz Paleogenomics Lab to reverse the extinction of the entire species. The prank drew guests to his SoMa gallery where they toasted Fulk with cocktails while dancing to Motown hits spun by DJ Juanita Moore and browsed through Fulk’s menagerie of taxidermy specimens including an ostrich and a muskox.
