The Tipping Point Community hosted its seventh annual awards breakfast at the Julia Morgan Ballroom in San Francisco on Thursday, December 12, to honor grantees Eastside College Preparatory School, Larkin Street Youth Services and Opportunity Junction. Founder Daniel Lurie, who devised the nonprofit in 2005 to provide training for poverty-fighting non-profits in the Bay Area, joined Kate Harbin Clammer, Ronnie Lott, Katie Schwab Paige, Trevor Traina, Gavin Newsom, Bob and Doris Fisher, and Mimi Haas who all attended the brunch that also honored Dorian Stone of McKinsey & Company, and commemorated the organization’s continued success in eliminating poverty in Northern California’s most troubled cities.
