Ringing in its 28th year, non-profit organization The Guardsmen held its annual Celebrity Dinner and Sports Auction at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Nob Hill with co-partner The Giants Community Fund on Thursday, February 11. Star athletes and philanthropists from across the Bay Area gathered to support educational scholarships and opportunities for at-risk youth, raising more than $500,000 towards the organizations’ efforts. San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee, along with San Francisco Giants headliners Hunter Strickland, Sergio Romo and Joe Panik, were among nearly 400 guests who attended a star-studded dinner, panel discussion, and live auction benefitting the cause.
