The Asian Art Museum + Altuzarra Fashion Show
On Monday, October 17, luxury retailer Saks Fifth Avenue partnered with the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco to present a runway show of Altuzarra‘s Resort and Spring 2017 collection as well as its Saks-exclusive capsule range, honoring the museum’s 50th anniversary. Event co-chairs including Helena Au, Juliet Bergh, Alexandra Caban, Beth Grossman, Linda Lynch, Amy McKnight, Elyn Shim and Patrice Wilbur gathered in the Beaux Arts-style Samsung Hall amidst a sold-out crowd of more than 300 patrons. Models walked the runway sporting demure looks including lace-sheathed cocktail dress and leather separates, delighting guests like Olya Dzilikhova, Tatiana Sorokko and Caroline Chandler, before the New York-based brand’s CFDA award-winning designer Joseph Altuzarra closed out the presentation. Following the show, attendees returned to the North Court for cocktails, dinner and a preview of Texas-based designer Nini Jewels‘ latest offerings. The celebration continued the next day at Saks Fifth Avenue in the city, with an Asian Art Museum benefactor brunch, personal appearance by Altuzarra and a trunk show of the showcased looks from the collections.
