San Francisco design gallery Coup D’ Etat played host to boundary-breaking conceptual artist Suzy Kellems Dominik‘s third trio of installations, In Her Dreams, on Thursday, May 19. Over 100 art world enthusiasts from across the Bay Area came to celebrate her thought-provoking sculptural works, which explore themes of human interaction, relationships and expectations. Her latest works surround the idea of a young woman and her bed, a place which the artist defines as a “reservoir for her hopes, dreams and disappointments.” Guests including James Krohn, Stephanie Marver, Joy Venturini Bianchi, Joshua Morgan and Mark Rhodes explored the interactive artwork, peeling back the layers of a freestanding bed etched with various phrases and motifs meant to evoke the emotional relationship between person and place.
