Shop For Good Event at Michael Kors
The worlds of philanthropy, technology and retail merged on Tuesday, January 15, at the San Francisco outpost of Michael Kors. Guests of the boutique’s Shop For Good event were invited to browse what’s new in store and hear a panel discussion among notable women in tech — all in support of the nonprofit Girls Who Code, which focuses on increasing the number of women in computer science.
Attentive invitees gathered to hear accomplished leaders Komal Ahmad, founder and CEO of Copia; Julia Jackson, founder of Grounded; Jennifer Kuperman, global head of international communications at Alibaba; and Erica Lockheimer, head of engineering at LinkedIn, comment on their experiences in their industry. Afterward, everyone shopped, had their accessories monogrammed, and enjoyed more refreshments and beats spun by DJ Vierra Vibe. A percentage of the evening’s proceeds supported Girls Who Code.
