The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art’s Contemporary Vision Award launch party gathered approximately 100 SFMOMA supporters at the Leica store in San Francisco on Thursday October 8th. Notable guests included Mayor Willie Brown, San Francisco Art Institute Interim President Rachel Schreiber and Vanity Fair Executive Director of Creative Services Christina Woo. The event was a kick-off celebration for the museum’s upcoming annual Contemporary Vision Award Dinner in November, which recognizes extraordinary lifetime achievements of global creators, innovators, artists and change-makers. This year, renowned lenswoman Annie Leibovitz will be honored, while proceeds from the event will benefit SFMOMA’s education and exhibition programming.
