Co-chairs Leith Brooks Barry, Nancy Conner, Connie Goodyear Baron, Beth Roy Jenkyn, Tricia Sellman, and Palmer Weiss hosted the San Francisco Parks Alliance 9th Annual Party for the Parks on Saturday, September 13 at the Randall Museum. Guests enjoyed a festive evening in support of the city’s parks and open spaces, and were treated to a night of cocktails, dinner, and dancing. They were also invited to explore the museum’s educational exhibition, “Wild in the City.”
“We know that our parks greatly contribute to our quality of life in San Francisco, so it’s important to contribute to our parks,” said Matt O’Grady, Chief Executive Officer of the San Francisco Parks Alliance. “The annual Party for the Parks is the largest fundraising event for San Francisco’s parks and green open spaces, and it’s a great opportunity to have fun while doing a lot of good.”
Guest auctioneer Daniel Donahue led the evening’s live auction which aided in raising over $400,000 to benefit the Creeks to Peaks trail corridor, a trail system that connects Glen Canyon Park to Twin Peaks. The Parks Alliance will also assist the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department in outfitting the trail system with signage for walkers, hikers, and runners.
