S.F. Opera Guild Holiday Party 2014
The San Francisco Opera Guild concluded its celebrations of the S.F. Opera’s 75th anniversary with A Paris Holiday, Dinner on the Opera House Stage honoring longtime opera benefactor and philanthropist Dede Wilsey at War Memorial Opera House on Monday, December 1. The opera house lobby cocktail reception included an Eiffel Tower of lights surrounded by pink roses designed by event stylist Riccardo Benavides. Next, the dinner took place on the famed stage amid a 19th-century-Paris-themed landscape from the set of the current production of Giacomo Puccini’s La Bohème. The honoree served on San Francisco Opera’s board since 1987, and is the lead donor for the Diane B. Wilsey Center for Opera slated to include a 299-seat flexible theater, rehearsal hall, and exhibition galleries that will open in early 2016.
