Richard Gere, Francis Ford Coppola, Guillermo del Toro, Isabella Rossellini, Marisa Tomei and Chris Columbus were all on hand for the Film Society Awards held on Monday, April 27, at the Armory in San Francisco. The event, part of the 58th San Francisco International Film Festival, was sponsored by Net-A-Porter and chaired by Christine Aylward, Heidi Castelein and Victoria Raiser. Columbus led a tribute to Robin Williams and Coppola presented the Peter J. Ownes award for acting to Gere who Coppola directed in 1984’s The Cotton Club about the famed Harlem nightclub.
