Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra Gala
The Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra hosted San Francisco’s elite for a black-tie gala celebrating the 30th anniversary of Waverley Fund Music Director, Nicholas McGegan, at City Hall on Thursday, February 11. The night, which was the Philharmonia’s biggest fundraiser of the year, kicked off with cocktails and a silent auction, where guests bid on items like a luxurious trip to Europe, rare wines and coveted tickets to San Francisco Giants‘ games. After dinner and a live auction, attendees moved to the Herbst Theater for a full concert featuring mezzo-soprano Susan Graham, and then returned back to City Hall for an afterparty. All funds raised from the night’s festivities benefit the continued success of the orchestra’s artistic and educational programs.
