Oscar de la Renta’s Creative Director Peter Copping made his inaugural appearance at the annual League to Save Lake Tahoe fashion show and luncheon presented by Saks Fifth Avenue on Saturday, August 1. The fundraiser welcomed the recently appointed designer, who flew in from Milan to present the vibrantly colored resort 2016 and bridal collections, while still paying homage to the beloved, late de la Renta with a touching tribute by Alex and Eliza Bolen, following 19 years of the Dominican designer showcasing his collections along the water. Attendees including Dede Wilsey, Stephanie Marver and Carolyn Chang dined amidst a backdrop of breathtaking views and watched as gowns draped the lakeshore runway, later gathering backstage to experience the creations up close and meet the man staying true to de la Renta’s singular enduring vision.
