Minted S.F. Pop-Up Grand Opening
Minted, the global marketplace of independent artists, celebrated the opening of its charming new pop-up shop, Minted Local, along with Every Mother Count‘s founder Christy Turlington Burns and philanthropist Vanessa Getty on Thursday, May 19. Bay Area tastemakers as well as tech’s top movers and shakers helped give a warm welcome to the new Union Square outpost, including Yelp CEO Jeremy Stoppelman, Nextdoor CEO Nirav Tolia and philanthropist Leigh Matthes. The brick-and-mortar offers Minted’s signature stationary, bespoke home goods, unique design and artworks, with a strong focus on regional California artists. Naficy, who headquarters her innovative company in nearby Jackson Square, hopes to bridge the gap between customers and the brand with the new brick and mortar: “Now, we bring our consumers closer to these works and the process of creating them,” she says. Guests shopped the curated selection of goods while Turlington Burns had a go at the hand-operated letterpress inside the pop-up, which will be open through October of this year.
