Editors' Notes

Distracted? So were we. Connie Nielsen made quite the statement with her double-faced alligator necklace at the Fine Arts Museum's Mid-Winter Gala. And her strapless, mesh-trimmed dress was the perfect choice to show this off, not to mention her perfect shoulders.

Guests arrived dressed to the nines at The Junior Committee’s annual Fine Arts Museum’s Mid-Winter Gala’s winter wonderland (in the middle of S.F., no less) re-imagined by none other than Bay Area designer and party planner Ken Fulk (think: a table constructed entirely of ice dispensing vodka shots and caviar and an ice rink installed in the de Young Museum’s marquee). After guests—including Connie Nielsen, Alexis Traina, Vanessa Getty and Juliet de Baubigny—enjoyed a dinner of white asparagus and truffles, pork tenderloin with apples and berry frangipane for dessert, they danced late into the night.
