Ahead of Gordon Getty’s U.S. premiere of Usher House on December 8, the San Francisco Opera Guild honored the entrepreneur, philanthropist and classical music composer with an on-stage dinner and gala on Monday, December 7, at the War Memorial Opera House. Music lovers from across the Bay Area gathered for the sold-out, black-tie event, including honorary committee members Barbara Brown, Denise Hale and Dede Wilsey, who celebrated against the set backdrop of Richard Wagner’s Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg (which completed its run one night earlier). Dinner and dancing followed the evening’s festivities, which benefited the Opera Guild’s burgeoning educational programs.
