Bay Area art aficionados celebrated the opening of the FOG Design + Art fair, benefiting the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, held at Fort Mason on Thursday, January 16. Guests attending the preview party included the fair’s Designers Forum Chair Douglas Durkin and other co-chairs Stanlee Gatti, Roth Martin, Katie Paige, and Allison Speer, along with Vanessa Getty, Charles and Helen Schwab, Steven Volpe, Kate Harbin Clammer, Charles de Lisle, Joe and Jennifer Montana, Susie Tompkins Buell, Victoire and Owsley Brown, Catherine and Brian Kwong, Maria Manetti Shrem, Ned Mobley, and Brenda Mickel. As they walked through the fair’s many booths—Hedge Gallery, L.A.’s Reform Gallery, and Japonesque were highlights—guests got a first look at pasta created by Chef Michael Tusk of Quince and Cotogna restaurants at Gatti’s 21Pop booth. By 7:00 pm, Hedge sold two versions of Ron Arad’s crushed Fiat, and as the evening wore on, guests departed with circular boxes of dried Tusk pasta.
