Carmen Marc Valvo brought the flowing gowns from his spring 2015 collection to the West Coast for the Bay Area Arthritis Auxiliary Benefit and Fashion Show held on Tuesday, October 1, at the Fairmont San Francisco. Elisabeth Thieriot, Karen Cakebread, Sharon Seto, Iris Chan, Pamela Rummage Culp, Elizabeth Vobach and Elaine Mellis were on hand for the benefit that included an appearance by Brooke Christian, the event’s Youth Honoree who lives with juvenile arthritis. Valvo made a strapless blue organza dress for the 15-year-old and she took a turn on the runway in the gown. Post-show, guests—who also got a look at Valvo’s new menswear line—headed to Wilkes Bashford for looks from the designer’s fall collection. A portion of proceeds from the in-store event also went to the Arthritis Foundation.
