Wilkes Bashford joined Elizabeth Fullerton and Nanci Nishimura to host a launch party for the Asian Art Museum‘s Gorgeous Gala on Wednesday, April 23 at the eponymous San Francisco department store he founded over 48 years ago. The gala, slated for June 18, will kick off Gorgeous, a summer exhibition mounted in collaboration with SFMOMA that will lead viewers to question their responses to works both beautiful and bizarre. As guests discussed the upcoming show, models dressed in spring looks took a turn about the room.
