Samuel Ku and Alexa Chung gathered friends and fans including Atlanta de Cadenet Taylor, Gia Coppola, Nathalie Love, and Laura Love to celebrate the Los Angeles launch of Chung’s denim collaboration with AG Jeans at the John Lautner-designed Sheats-Goldstein house in Beverly Hills on Thursday, January 22. DJ Myles Hendrik spun as guests toured themselves around the cave-like structure that was built in the early 1960s into the sandstone hillside. Like the collection, every architectural detail in the house was worth a second look, from the ashtrays crafted to mimic the shape of the triangular sofa to the concrete deck opposite the angular cement roof. Chung looked as chic as the house in the high-necked chambray dress she paired with Chanel ankle boots for the party that took place after fans got a first look at the collection at Neiman Marcus in Beverly Hills. Heads turned when the designer, looking downright picturesque, took a seat poolside as L.A. band Warpaint began to play.
