On Thursday, January 25, L.A.-based Learning Lab Ventures held its first annual Winter Gala, presented by Net-A-Porter. Invited by the organization’s founder and president Rochelle Gores Fredston, more than 400 attendees—including Mary Alice Haney, Alessandra Ambrosio, Ali Larter, Rachel Roy and Monique Lhuillier—flocked to the Beverly Park residence of Alec and Kelly Gores to honor Mary Alice Haney.

To kick off the event, host Jamie Foxx surprised the crowd with a serenade that naturally evolved into a dance party. Later, the affair took a more serious turn by highlighting the work of Learning Lab Ventures, which aims to focus on education and enrichment for L.A.’s underserved communities. As the night came to an end, guests were treated to performances by Sekou, Ozomatli, and dessert from Sprinkles Cupcakes.
