The co-founder and chief creative officer of Serena & Lily, a home decor company founded in Sausalito in 2003, even created a striking geometric grid for the façade of the brand’s new design studio in West Hollywood. The gleaming white space on Melrose Avenue has all the components necessary to rework your home, from bed sheets to wallpaper to towels, rugs, and even furniture. Walls display rotating collections of work by Los Angeles and California artists, and experts are on hand to help tackle design projects both large and small. There are even desks equipped with pens and notepads and hundreds of drawers filled with sample swatches, or bring your interior designer a private appointment to get a second opinion. And, because the company is based in Northern California, many items ship within two days of an order. So go ahead, contemplate adding a pattern or two to your place. Dugan has dreamed one up for nearly every color palette.
