Spotlight: Miller’s Oath Trunk Show
Next week, Angelenos can check-in for the afternoon to Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood for a dose of menswear and bespoke pieces from New York–based tailor and clothing purveyor Miller’s Oath. Offerings at the two-day trunk show, (open by appointment from 9am-6pm on Wednesday and Thursday) will include a selection of new ready-to-wear items such as light gray pindot suits, silk-and-linen summer tweed jackets, and a slew of ties, shirts, cufflinks and collar stays. A team of expert tailors will also be on-hand for custom fittings and measurements. “We wanted to come to L.A., because I think the sensibility and offerings are super unique and really special for California,” says company president, Kirk Miller. “Everyone thinks that L.A. is super dressed down, but there is a cool niche of guys here who take dressing really seriously and appreciate all the details, and many of them lament they never get the chance to wear a flannel suit the entire year. My goal is for our summer tweeds to be the new L.A. uniform.”
