Spotlight: Faircloth & Supply
Ever since Los Angeles clothing designer Phoebe Dahl was a little girl, she’s been planning to open her own boutique. “I always dreamed of having my own store one day,” says Dahl, who opened doors to Faircloth & Supply on Saturday. “I didn’t exactly imagine it as a pop-up but I’ve had so many requests from customers who wanted a place to see and try on the designs, I decided to give it a try.” The pop-up shop, stocked with goods ranging from natural linen wrap dresses to bloomers and relaxed, button-down blouses, is open until October 3. But, for Dahl, it’s more about the clothes. For every garment sold, a school uniform is donated to a girl in need in Nepal. (The sales also help fund school supplies and one-year scholarships). “I think it’s important for me to meet the customers and interact with them,” says Dahl. “Being a real life face of the brand means a lot to me. I have put my heart and soul in this and want to be able to share the experience with everyone I can.” 3112 W. Sunset Blvd., Silverlake; fairclothsupply.com.
