Spotlight: Emporio Armani Beverly Hills
Giorgio Armani‘s relationship with Hollywood is legendary, from his suit designs for Richard Gere’s call boy character in Paul Schrader’s 1980 noir film, American Gigolo, to Jodi Foster’s custom suits and red carpet looks over the past 30 years, to Cate Blanchet’s recent array of sweeping gowns. So it seems fitting that the Italian designer now has two boutiques along Rodeo Drive. Just blocks from his eponymous shop, the Italian fashion house has opened a 5,900-square-foot Emporio Armani location on the storied street. The new two-floor shop (relocated from a previous address on Brighton Way) includes spring 2016 ready-to-wear collections for men and women, as well as accessories, inside modernist steel-and-grey-toned rooms. And fittingly, for our current camera-ready era, the boutique’s main exterior is made of transparent glass tempered with metallic blades. Now two-timing on Rodeo is fully sanctioned.
