With the opening of the new Burberry boutique in Beverly Hills, the Rodeo Drive Committee welcomed another luxury brand to the block. The boutique, located on the corner of Rodeo Drive and Dayton Way, follows the design direction of Christopher Bailey, Burberry’s chief creative and executive officer. The store’s four floors foster a multi-sensory experience sparked by digital screens that display images and broadcast live events. The space also includes a Burberry Penthouse, a rooftop private suite for shopping and events complete with 360-degree views of the Hollywood Hills and greater Los Angeles. And so it was only fitting that the launch of the new shop inspired Beverly Hills and the Rodeo Drive Committee to honor Burberry with the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style Award on Wednesday, November 19. Photographer Mario Testino was on hand to present Bailey with a bronzed plaque with the signature of brand’s founder Thomas Burberry, to be embedded into the sidewalk. With the award, Burberry joined an illustrious list of past recipients, including Giorgio Armani, Tom Ford, and Gianni and Donatella Versace.
