Burberry’s Christopher Bailey, who is both Chief Creative and CEO of Burberry, has put his stamp on the venerable British clothing company’s San Francisco boutique this fall. The four-floor Post Street location got a major facelift— inspired by the brand’s flagship on Regent Street in London—just in time for its reopening this month. It’s no surprise that Bailey has reworked the Bay Area boutique. After all, he’s been one of the most digitally-minded creative directors in the luxury fashion game. Since joining Burberry in 2001, Bailey has been credited with transforming the heritage brand into a modern powerhouse by reworking heritage designs and prints and using innovative digital campaigns that include holographic models. Bailey has also presided over the house’s click-ready program that enables legions of devoted fans to purchase pieces straight from the runway.

This year marks Bailey’s first in his newly combined role with the company, succeeding previous chief executive Angela Ahrendts (who departed this past spring to join Apple), and the new space shows off his prowess in both roles. The Bay Area flagship, one of 12 California outposts for the UK-based brand, houses collections including Burberry Prorsum, Burberry London, and Burberry Brit as well as the accessories lines. The reworked space also includes a Burberry Beauty room filled with the complete line of fragrances and the makeup collections—don’t miss the Brick Red lip liner used prominently on the runway in London when Bailey showed the line’s spring 2015 collection last month. And, of course, there’s a dedicated watch room and a shoe lounge to showcase the brands’ accessories in all of their nova checked glory.
