"Sorrento Coordinate" Pillow by Alexandra D. Foster

For her new Capsule pillow collection, textile designer Alexandra D. Foster called upon her Italian roots and her affinity for the Amalfi Coast. The sea-inspired cushions, designed in collaboration with Italian painter Rosa Linda Acampora (whose work is featured in several hotels in Amalfi and Sorrento), depict patterns from stripes and geometric prints, to sea creatures such as octopus and squid. “Rosa Linda is a dear friend who hails from the same region [Campania] of Italy as my maternal ancestors,” says Foster. “This pillow collection honors my Italian-American heritage and the land my great-grandparents emigrated from over a century ago. For me, partnering with Rosa Linda to bring the bright and brilliant, deep blues and aquas of the Mediterranean to life on my pillows is a dream come true.”
