Scene and Heard: Sabrina Buell
Clad in one of Maison Margiela‘s nude body-stocking looks from the line’s spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection at the opening party for the Paris fashion house’s San Francisco boutique on Thursday, April 23, Sabrina Buell recalled the first time she donned an ensemble from the line for an event. “I remember I wore a jacket from spring 2009 ready-to-wear to an opening at the Art Institute of Chicago. It was made entirely out of leather, shaped like a circle. I looked like I was from The Hunger Games,” she joked. “I was so nervous to wear it because it’s so ‘look at me’, you know?” Buell said. “But at the event, Ellsworth Kelly came up to me and said, ‘What is that jacket?’ It looked like one of his shapes!”
