Postcards From… Paris
L.A.-native Jennifer Meyer started her eponymous jewelry line in 2005, just two years before marrying her husband, actor Tobey Maguire. The laid-back mother of two relies on her daily life and world travels for inspiration when creating her delicate and timeless pieces that have garnered a devout following. Most recently, the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) nominated Jennifer for the Swarovski Award for Accessory Design for the 2013 Fashion Awards set to take place June 3. Here, Jennifer shares some of her favorite places from a recent trip to Paris:
STAY
RITZ PARIS It’s the most glamorous hotel of all time—I feel like I am in a movie when I am there. I also enjoy sipping cocktails at the Hemingway Bar.
DINE
BRASSERIE LIPP I think this is one of my favorite restaurants in the entire world. If I am in Paris for three days, I eat there a minimum of three times.
PLAY
JAR I once had the opportunity to go to the jewelry salon of designer JAR in Paris. There are no words to describe what he does. It’s art in the purest sense.
HÔTEL COSTES I like to visit Hôtel Costes to grab french fries (lots of them) and pick up a candle (the “purple” candle, for the smell as well as the color).
RUE SAINT-HONORÉ I could spend days walking and exploring the shops on just this street.
