ONE'ULI BLACK SAND BEACH

"This beach in Wailea is breathtaking and beautiful and worth a stop for the photo op alone. The black sand against the deep blue sea is seriously magical. It’s very special to locals, a queen has visited—it's a sacred sort of place. I find myself daydreaming back to ancient time of romance and love!"

THE SHOPS AT WAILEA

"In case you forget any beach essentials or just want to find something new, this is the place to go for everything from luxury shops to local favorites. It’s also the perfect spot to  buy small gifts for friends and family back home."

Lauren Young London, known for her eponymous skincare line and invigorating facials, has traveled with clients for over 15 years to shoots and appearances all over the world. She’s constantly perfecting her serums and creams that plump and transform skin, including her newest collection, Lauren Young London Private Reserve, a set of skin boosters that can be blended with any skincare product already in your makeup bag. When she’s not on the road with clients, London retreats to Maui. “As soon as I step off the plane, and breathe in the island air and the scents of flowers everywhere, I forget everything and leave it all behind,” London says. She first visited the island 7 years ago during a photo shoot for a client, and finds the slower pace of life on the island relaxing. Here she shares her favorite stops, from black sand beaches to hidden waterfalls.

WHALE-WATCHING IN LAHAINA Don’t miss the chance to do this during migration season, the peak months are February and March though they can be seen from fall through spring.

ALOHA MOTORSPORTS My favorite adventurous way to explore this gorgeous island is on rented scooters, bikes or motorcycles. Aloha will pick you up or arrive by shuttle from your hotel. They also have Go Pro cameras that can be mounted on you or your ride—my daughter loves watching the video when we get home. I really love this place.
