The wispy locks and layered necklaces favored by Ladies (and gentlemen) of the Canyon are resurfacing this season. The Saint Laurent creative team led by Hedi Slimane looked to the West Coast origins of Psych Rock for inspiration for its spring ’15 collection, and also to the California bands that are currently reinventing the genre with a decidedly punk twist. Here are some tunes to queue up—by Christopher Owens, the Mystic Braves, Allah-Las, Hunx and His Punx, and a host of other local bands—while lacing up suede boots, throwing on a velour tunic or pintuck cotton blouse, and topping it all off with a feathered felted hat.
