After a day spent in the sand and sun why pack up and go home when you can head to the Malibu Country Mart for the center’s second annual Movies Under the Stars series featuring free screenings of Finding Nemo (June 20), Back to the Future (July 12), and The NeverEnding Story (August 3). Just after sundown, moviegoers are invited to spread out beach blankets and lawn chairs for an eco-friendly drive-in style screening, complete with dinner offerings by Mr. Chow including such favorites as spareribs, scallion pancakes and spiced tofu, chicken satay, Gambei and vegetarian fried rice. Why fill up on candy when you can share a fresh meal with your friends and family? Unless of course you want to top off your outdoor feast with Baklava or Tiramisu from neighboring Taverna Tony’s or sweet dessert wines from Tra di Noi.
