For years, the daily ferry ride from Larkspur to San Francisco and back has been a not-so-well-kept secret. Rather than sit in bridge traffic, daily travelers board the ferry, order cocktails and glide across the Bay. It’s possible that some level of zen consciousness can even be achieved with such an effortless commute. Now that the team behind Fillmore’s International Orange has opened a new 6,000-square-foot outpost at the Marin Country Mart, just steps from Larkspur Landing, such a state of awareness is even easier to achieve. Creative director Matt Dick is once again at the retail helm of this second IO location where apothecary Julie Elliott’s In Fiore fragrances and skin care blends line the shelves in addition to a host of non-toxic products as well as handmade bags and scarves from Dick’s Small Trade Co. Private yoga classes as well as restorative remedies including massages and acupuncture are also on offer here, as are a host of organic and natural skin treatments. This month, the spa debuts its Master Facial Series, a six-month (or longer) regimen of customized treatments addressing specific skin concerns that will leave participants glowing—if they aren’t already.
