Perfect Pairing: Heidi Merrick + One Kings Lane
Heidi Merrick, brainchild of eponymous California lifestyle brand replete with ready-to-wear fashion and home goods, has been busy rifling through her storage closets. The Carpinteria–born fashion maven and C Ambassador, whose prized possessions are currently up for grabs as part of “Tidal Cool,” a Tastemaker Tag Sale for One Kings Lane, has carefully curated one-of-a-kind wares recalling far-flung resorts such as brightly-hued beaded bib necklaces, block-printed tapestries, teak serving utensils, antique paper lanterns, and striped cabana bolster pillows. There are also a few of Merrick’s own original designs sprinkled in the mix including Moroccan-inspired beach towels and handmade surfboard “socks” or covers (her father is lauded surfboard shaper Al Merrick). “I never get rid of anything that has been passed down to me from my mom, until now,” says Merrick, who is plotting the relaunch of her new home collection. “So, the sale is the first time I’m opening up some of our collected treasures, combined with some of our classic home pieces.”
But, just don’t wait too long. The sale only lasts a few more days.
