Perfect Pairing: Erin Fetherston + JewelMint
San Francisco native Erin Fetherston has perfected a certain delicate aesthetic that’s pretty yet never cloying. It’s an impossible balance to strike, and yet she mastered it while showing romantic yet modern collections in Paris during the haute couture presentations starting in 2005. Now Fetherston is launching a capsule collection with JewelMint, the Santa Monica-based social commerce company, just in time for Valentine’s Day. There’s an adorable gold finish headband with kitten ears, and rose gold finish rings and bracelets with big floppy bows. But the Studio Series collaboration also includes minimalist geometric arrow designs shaped into bracelets and rings. There’s an effortless quality to the line reminiscent of the New York-based designer’s ready-to-wear label, Erin. The bauble collection is adorable, but it also has an innovative edge as sharp as early incarnations of Fetherston’s trademark fringe.
