"All the lace at Elie Saab, and the silk floor-length numbers with fringe and ruffles paired with leather jackets, plus some of the shorter pieces with knee-high boots give us his version of glam rock-and-roll this season."

As stylist and designer Erica Pelosini made the rounds in Paris during fashion week—with a photographer in tow—she took in collections designed by such diverse talents as Humberto Leon and Carol Lim for Kenzo and Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood. Pelosini found herself drawn to the electric eye makeup worn by Kenzo models, the “endless lace” at Elie Saab, the cropped jackets at Carven, and the “boundary-pushing” proclivities of Vivienne Westwood’s storied fashion house. A seat at Dior’s darkly beautiful presentation had Pelosini looking forward—along with the rest of the fashion flock—to the appointment of a new creative director to take up the mantle of the house’s founding father.
