"These looks definitely took us back to the grit of the 1980s. Models wore lace baby dolls with combat creepers, and small leather hats. Paired with fishnet tights, the overall feel was naughty but sweet."

After whirlwind stops in New York and London, stylist and designer Erica Pelosini found herself in Milan with the fashion pack—and a photographer—to take in a host of fashion week presentations. Pelosini says she found herself drawn to “the classic Armani tailoring and styles with bold geometric shapes and digital designs” at the Emporio Armani show. While at Giamba, the playful sister label of Giambattista Valli, Nan Golden’s Bowery photography depicting aspects of New York’s underground culture of the 1980s inspired a bounty of rough yet pretty dresses. “These looks definitely took us back to the grit of the 1980s,” says Pelosini. “Models wore lace baby dolls with combat creepers, and small leather hats. Paired with fishnet tights, the overall feel was naughty but sweet.”
