"Paul Smith showed such a geometric collection. Psychedelic patterns were mixed with clean designs. Sharp jackets had beautiful color blocking contrasts."

“The London look!” says stylist and designer Erica Pelosini of the tan-and-black checked coat she wore as she roamed the UK capital—with a photographer in tow—to see collections from a host of British designers including Burberry, Alexander McQueen, Belstaff, and Paul Smith. Pelosini took in the fall presentation of Burberry’s Chief Creative Christopher Bailey, remarking on the “sparkle and metallics” of the sequin tops and noting that she was particularly drawn to the patchwork minidresses. “There was a little bit of glam rock in there,” she says. Pelosini says she was struck by the romantic lace, tulle, and feathers of the Alexander McQueen show, and was also taken with the psychedelic prints and clean lines at Paul Smith. Here, a selection of snapshots from her week in London.
