The new Current/Elliott boutique in Venice.

Much of its denim is made in California, so it was only a matter of time before the Current/Elliott label opened a shop in the golden state. That day has arrived, and the women’s brand now has a retail home in an airy 1,500-square-foot boutique on Abbot Kinney in Venice. The modern space, with a façade of brass and oxidized maple planks, includes plenty of vintage leather furniture with the same worn-in feel as the jeans themselves. The board-and-batten-style ceiling brings to mind the origins of dungarees, first used by gold miners when the west was still wild. The boutique also stocks one-of-a-kind pieces from the Current/Elliott archives alongside current collections. After a visit to this new denim mecca, you’ll be golden.
