She recently walked in Alexander Wang’s last runway show at Balenciaga, so it’s no surprise that Australian actress Bella Heathcote knows her way around a frock or two. Now the actress, who is currently staring in Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, has donned a host of romantic prints for Who What Wear‘s February fashion feature, shot at a Beverly Hills estate. Dressed in visually arresting designs by Gucci, Valentino, Miu Miu, and Giambattista Valli, Heathcote reclines atop floral sheets, on carved couches, and beside bunches of fresh posies in Valentine’s Day-ready shades. The demure looks differ from many of the actress’s off-set selections. For those, Heathcote credits her British stylist Penny Lovell, the mastermind behind Heathcote’s edgy-yet-polished looks for press tours supporting such films as Zombies, as well as her earlier work including Dark Shadows and Not Fade Away. Characteristically, Heathcote toughens up the romantic WWW shoot with a Lanvin leather moto jacket or a pair of Preen by Thornton Bregazzi cat-eye sunglasses. After all, when one has become accustomed to battling zombies, a gothic touch or two becomes second nature.
