Just as givers are hunting for perfect last-minute gifts, Ali Golden, the brick-and-mortar Echo Park-based sister boutique to the Oakland original, is hosting a pop-up shop for Phoebe Dahl’s Faircloth & Supply. Dahl’s made-in-L.A. clothing and home goods line that includes organic linen dresses, sweats, T-shirts, scarves, table cloths, and napkins follows a one-for-one program benefiting school girls in Nepal. For each item sold, a uniform is donated to a girl in Nepal, and Faircloth also sponsors scholarships for the recipients. Dahl’s line includes just the sort of sportswear—cropped sweatshirts, long johns, and handwoven scarves—to wear while opening gifts under the tree. Procrastinators, take note.
