Weeks after she opened a Beverly Hills flagship boutique, Tory Burch sent out a beautifully ornate fall 2014 collection—on February 11, during New York Fashion Week—referencing the body armor her father collected. Sweaters inspired by coats of chainmail, fabrics embellished with wirework patterns, and geometric leather shapes attached together like scales rounded out the show. Makeup artist Diane Kendal picked up on the metallurgy theme by accenting models’ faces with copper smoky eyes. She devised the backdrop of pink and bronze eyelids using MAC Cosmetics, then utilized Tory Burch’s new beauty line to warm up cheeks with shimmery bronze tones. Kendal left lips to glow with just a slight shine from Burch’s Pas du Tout lip color, a sheer nude with a touch of pink.
