California Beauty: Gwyneth Paltrow
Now that she’s officially an Angeleno (and proud of it: goop la), Gwyneth Paltrow is strutting her stuff all over town. The good news is, she didn’t necessarily roll out of bed looking this good. We found out how she got red carpet ready for the Hollywood premiere of her new film Iron Man 3; from a workout at her pal Tracy Anderson‘s new Brentwood studio earlier in the day, to the specific makeup application techniques used by Chanel celebrity makeup artist Angela Levin.
Face
I started her makeup application on a clean face, prepping the skin with Chanel Hydra Beauty Serum all over. I then set Angels Make Up Collagen pads under her eyes and applied Cinema Secret’s Ultimate Foundation Primer with a sponge on her face and neck. With the Chanel Foundation Brush #6 I dabbed a small amount of Chanel Perfection Lumiere Long-Wear Flawless Fluid Sunscreen Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15 in Beige Ambre all over her face and neck. On her cheeks, I used Joe Blasco Blush Cream in Natural Blush and dusted her face with Chanel Moisturizing Bronzing Powder in Desert Corail.
Eyes
I used Chanel Quadra Eye Shadow in Lilium, lining the eyes with the darkest green shade. Then blending upward toward the browbone using the lighter colors, and ending with the lightest shade under the browbone as a highlight. Next, I applied a jumbo creamy black eye pencil, lining her upper lashline and smudged it with a Q-Tip for an intense smoky effect. I primed her lashes with Chanel Nourishing Mascara Base, and then applied three layers of Chanel Inimitable Intense Mascara in Noir on the upper lashes and one layer on the lower lashes. I sculpted her eyebrows using Sephora Retractable Brow Pencil in Honey Blonde.
Lips
On her lips I applied Chanel Glossimer in Rose Savauge.
