The oversized metal hardware on the plunging neckline of Elizabeth Olsen’s black Proenza Schouler dress led Chanel makeup artist Kate Lee to devise shimmering bronze eyes for the actress at the Los Angeles premiere of In Secret, on Thursday, February 6. Olsen plays the title role of an ingénue trapped in a loveless marriage in the film by Charlie Stratton based on the Émile Zola novel, Thérèse Raquin, alongside Oscar Isaac, Tom Felton, and Jessica Lange. The dress was eye-catching, but Olsen’s casual sparkling eyes added a dash of sophisticated glamour to the daring look as she walked the carpet at the ArcLight Hollywood.

EYES

When I’m using a shimmery color, I usually start with the eyes, that way I can clean away any stray sparkles before the base. I primed the eyelids and then gently built up Chanel Illusion D’Ombre Long Wear Luminous Eyeshadow in Initiation, a shimmering bronze shade. The formula is amazing, so easy to use. After the lashes were curled, they were given one coat of Le Volume de Chanel Mascara in Noir.

LIPS

“I used Chanel Hydra Beauty Nourishing Lip Care on Lizzie’s lips, blotted them, and then used Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Hydrating Sheer Lipshine in Mutine (available in April) to give the lips a natural moisturized look.”
