KNEEDLER-FAUCHERE
"Kneedler Fauchère and Atelier Lapchi at the Pacific Design Center are two of my favorite resources. Kneedler has such a well-rounded assortment of furniture brands, accessories, fabrics and trims, and the fact that I can source items from projects from contemporary to ultra-traditional just from their showroom is pretty remarkable. For custom carpets, Atelier Lapchi has been my first (and sometimes only) stop for years. They have an incredible design aesthetic and work to customize rugs to a degree I haven’t experienced anywhere else."

IL GRANO
"It’s one of the best Italian and seafood restaurants in the city, owned and operated by chef Sal Marino. Sal grew up in LA and is a second generation chef/restaurateur who has such a passion for food and his work. It’s impossible not to fall in love with the experience. I’m addicted to his crudo. He sources all of his fish from the Japanese fish market. My other go-to item is the prosciutto and shaved black truffle pizza. Enough said."

K CHOCOLATIER
"This is about the best chocolate around.  Diane Krön, the owner, makes the ultimate truffles and treats from chocolate recipes handed down from her husband’s family (who had been the chocolate purveyor to the Hungarian crown). She’s a longtime favorite of Hollywood royalty, including Elizabeth Taylor, who had a standing weekly order. I love the chocolate bears, but the truffles and chocolate pecan crisps are amazing too."

WESTWOOD FARMER'S MARKET
"I live in Little Holmby, so the Westwood Farmer’s Market is a great convenience. I love the way it fits so perfectly into the hustle and bustle of the Village."

CRAIG'S
"My husband and I have regular date nights and love to dine out. Right now if we aren’t at Il Grano, we go to Craig’s on Melrose. It gets packed, but having dinner at the tables behind the bar is great for people-watching and the menu accommodates both of us (he eats mostly vegan, and I waffle between being an out-and-out carnivore and having fits of veggie mania)."

Interior designer Kristi Nelson, owner of KM Nelson Design is making her mark in Los Angeles with projects ranging from a modern bungalow in the Hollywood Hills to a storybook-inspired estate in Beverly Hills. The stylish innovator, who earned a Master’s degree in Studio Art and Art History from the Paris American Academy, has appeared in numerous publications including Dwell and Traditional Home, and on HGTV’s series, “Beautiful Homes.”

In her free time away from the studio, the Little Holmby resident can be found at the Westwood Village Farmers’ Market, or shopping at one of her city staples: Neiman Marcus. Now, Nelson contemplates her must-haves in her own neighborhood and beyond.

NEIMAN MARCUS BEVERLY HILLS It’s by far my favorite shop in LA. It’s 5 minutes from my home and a one-stop shop for pretty much everything and anything I need. The service is outstanding and I work with two spectacular women there, Penny Rhodes in Couture on Level 2, and Janna Watson in shoes. It makes shopping that much more fun.
